It's no secret that Jon Bon Jovi is involved in politics, but would he run for President of the United States?

There is reason to believe that it could happen someday. The Rock Star is very involved in the political circuit in New Jersey.

Bon Jovi has been very good friends with Hilary Clinton for over a decade now, he attended state dinners at the White House and appeared at various fund-raisers.

Bon Jovi has also been seen in the company of Al Gore, President Obama to name a few.

How far will he go, that's anybody's guess really. He has gone from rags to riches in the music industry so if anyone can do it Jon can.

Singer, Actor, President that would be very impressive for sure.

BON JOVI UPSET OVER HAIR LOSS

Jon Bon Jovi is getting a little worried over the rate his hairline is receding according to the press. The lead singer of Bon Jovi is known for his great hairstyles sported throughout the years. Jon has been using personal scalp message techniques in hopes to slow down the process stating it may look weird but if it works.

The 46 year old had sported long hair all through the 80's and then revamped the look of the band in the 90's with much shorter styles. Bon Jovi says, "Oh, let me tell you, I am so worried (about my hair). I look at guys like Sting and think, 'Well, he's cool about it,' but I'm already losing it a bit and I'm so aware of it.

Jon is open to alternative treatments so we will have to keep an eye on him and see if he can regain that hair that he so misses so much. Maybe he could borrow some of Ritchie's hair, he has enough.

Jon Bon Jovi will always be the man with or without hair, if you have been to one of the Bon Jovi Concerts you will agree. That guy has the pep of a 16 year old when he gets on that stage and the music, well it's Bon Jovi it can't be beat. So Jon, if you are going bald let it happen. I'm sure the women would still line up to be with you and the magic is in your music with or without hair.

Bon Jovi Tribute Bands

Being a Bon Jovi fan as I am anything Bon Jovi is cool to me. There are a lot of tribute bands out there but I don't recall ever seeing a Bon Jovi tribute band. After seeing the Lost Highway Tour I'm wound to get more Bon Jovi.
What I wanted to do is invite any Bon Jovi tribute band to join into the blog and maybe post some of your music for us all to enjoy. Even if you just play your guitar and sing Bon Jovi tunes, that's fine as well. Also, anybody with concert footage please let me know and maybe we could post it too. I have opened another blog for live concert videos. Personally I have three videos that I managed to shoot from the Lost Highway Tour in London and Toronto Ontario at the end of last year. I'm sorry the vids are short but as soon as my camera went up the security was right over to make sure I was just taking pictures. I have always been a big you rock and roll fan. Entering my late 20s, and not yet married (ladies, that means I'm available), it's obvious that I know what it takes a party and I mean party well. So when I go to a rock and roll show, they should reserve tickets for me, without a doubt. I mean, I am the life of the rock 'n roll show. But when I checked out Bon Jovi tour dates (Bon Jovi is my all time favorite rocker), and tried to order myself some tickets, I was in for a huge surprise. I tried all of the ticket agents, all of the Web sites, but there were no Bon Jovi concert tickets to the had!
Yeah, I know what you are thinking. I should have started looking for Bon Jovi concert tickets before the last minute. Don't think that normally I wouldn't, but I had the unpleasant situation of fighting a custody battle over my kid and the repossession of my house and all my belongings, things have been a little busy to say the least. Anyway, I have dozens of connections here in my home city. I know roadies, managers and staff in every venue in this area, practically. Now with that said you would think that with all that I'd be able to score some lousy Bon Jovi concert tickets, even if I had to settle for nosebleeds. But no way, no how. Ouch, that hurts.
So, I summon the up my courage, and thought that I would have to get my Bon Jovi concert tickets from those dreaded parasites known as scalpers. I hate buying from scalpers man, especially now with my current financial situation, and I like to know that all my dough is going directly to keep Jon Bon Jovi rocking hard, that's how faithful I am. It is definitely not my intention to make money for some lousy scalper. So, I got to the stadium something like two hours before the big rock 'n roll show to try to find my Bon Jovi concert tickets, but no such luck. I couldn't find anyone willing to part with those precious little beauties for less than – now get this – two hundred dollars, each. I don't care how many beers I get to drink in there, or how many hotties flashing the band. There is no way that's worth two hundred dollars. Not for a two hour show with an opening band taking up some of the time.
Then, suddenly, as if by divine intervention, I stumbled on him. Some kid just out of college. Said his buddy wasn't able to make it because he was sick, and he was selling his Bon Jovi concert tickets for –check this out– sixty bucks. Well, he was instantly surrounded, but I elbowed everyone aside and got to him first. Kid thought I was nuts, but I got the tickets. Rock on dudes!

Bon Jovi Songs and Memories of a Bon Jovi Concert

Whenever I hear any Bon Jovi songs I am reminded of the time that I went to a Bon Jovi concert on Saturday 6th July 1996. The concert at the Milton Keynes Superbowl was towards the end of the mammoth These Days tour that started on 26th April 1995 at the Andheri Stadium Bombay, India and ended on 19th July 1996 at the Helsinki Olympic Stadium.

It took my boyfriend and myself over 3 hours to drive to Milton Keynes and we had to queue for 4 hours until 2pm to get into the Superbowl. It was one of those quirky English weather days, one minute the very hot sun was beating down on us and the next there was torrential freezing cold rain.

When we got into the arena we were able to get a spot at the front of the stage but as more fans arrived and blocked us in I became claustrophobic and worried that I wouldn't be able to escape to the loo during the next 8 hours. I left Mark hugging the front of the stage and escaped to sit on a hillock where I got a pretty good view of the proceedings as the support bands Seven, Gun and Joan Osborne performed.

The most memorable being Joan Osbornes performance, she was great but the weather was still being quirky and it became pretty uncomfortable sitting on grass while soaked to the skin. I wandered round for a few hours and became more uncomfortable as a bloke took a fancy to me and started to harass me despite being told that I was with my boyfriend.

Seeing my discomfort a group of Bon Jovi fans told the bloke to leave me alone and asked me to join them. That was lucky for me in 2 ways, one that it got rid of my stalker and the other in that we were in a marvellous position to watch the show, close to the stage but to the right - away from the main crush of fans.

It was just before 7.00pm and I was feeling tired, very wet and shivering from the cold. I couldn't have been wetter if I had stood in a pool fully clothed. As I tried to warm my by now numb blue hands I was miserably wishing that I hadn't agreed to go to the concert.

A few minutes later a helicopter arrived and shortly afterwards I could see the band climbing up the steps to the stage. I did a double take at seeing Jon, he was dressed in a tight tan leather jumpsuit which gave the impression of him being naked from a distance.

The band started up and for 2 hours my discomfort was forgotten as Bon Jovi launched into a string of their hits including Always, It's My Life, You Give Love A Bad Name, Someday I'll Be A Saturday Night and my long time favourite Living On A Prayer.

Imagine a sea of over 60,000 fans joining in with the choruses, swaying, waving and punching the air together. It was a spectacular sight on and off stage as Bon Jovi rocked the Superbowl. I was enthralled with the bands performance and stirred by the music and the interaction from the crowd.

I felt disappointed when a fireworks display ended the magnificent performance 2 hours on, but afterwards Bon Jovi reappeared for an air punching encore to round off the show. I was still very wet and cold but warmed by a magnificent performance from the entire band. I absolutely recommend seeing Bon Jovi in concert and despite my discomfort I would go through it all over again - it was worth it.

I've been watching videos from the 2008 Lost Highway tour and think that Jon Bon Jovi has still got what it takes. Bon Jovi are a great band and 12 years on I am still a big fan of Bon Jovi songs and hope that I get a chance to see them in concert again, but perhaps an indoor concert!

P.S. As for my boyfriend I dumped him after the show. I don't rate a guy that lets a woman he is supposed to care about wander off on their own for hours in a strange place and in a 60,000 plus crowd. He cared more about getting a place close to the stage than my safety. I probably ended up with a better view than he did and I was able to go to the loo when I wanted!

LOST HIGHWAY CD REVIEW

One word describes the CD Lost Highway from Bon Jovi... AWESOME!

It's a rare day indeed that I get a CD from an artist that I can truthfully say does not have a bad track in the bunch. I'm more than happy to announce that’s exactly what I must say about this one. There simply isn’t a bad one in the bunch. No fillers here at all.

Lost Highway has a pleasantly varied, mix of 12 tracks that are very well written and brilliantly performed songs by these clearly outstanding musicians. With many of the songs displaying a lot of the kind emotion that makes for a really great listen. Seemingly drawing from what I can only imagine are their own personal experiences. At different points touching on the most real emotions of love, heartbreak, pain, failed relationships and unattainable romance. They’re all here.

Overall Lost Highway is an outstanding release. What I call must have music. I give it two thumbs up and is most definitely a worthy addition to any Heavy Metal collection. Truly an outstanding Heavy Metal CD. One of those that is completely void of any wasted time, as each track is simply superb.

While this entire CD is really very good some of my favorites are track 3 - (You Want To) Make A Memory, track 5 - We Got It Going On, and track 9 - Till We Ain't Strangers Anymore

My Bonus Pick, and the one that got Sore [...as in "Stuck On REpeat"] is track 11 - One Step Closer. It’s a great track!

Bon Jovi has worked on behalf of the Special Olympics, the American Red Cross, the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation, Habitat for Humanity, Project Home, The Philadelphia Soul Charitable Foundation and other groups.

He has been named the first Founding Ambassador of the Habitat for Humanity Ambassador program as part of the international-nonprofit organization’s new advocacy outreach initiative. Bon Jovi has been raising awareness with Habitat for Humanity since 2005 when he provided the funds to build six homes in Philadelphia and built the homes alongside the homeowner families, as well as with members of his Philadelphia Soul Arena Football Team. The construction site also served as the video shoot location for his band’s single, "Who Says You Can’t Go Home". In 2006, Bon Jovi made a $1 million donation to build 28 Habitat homes in Louisiana in partnership with low-income families on the hurricane-stricken coast. Earlier this month, Bon Jovi announced a project that will rehabilitate a block of 15 homes in north Philadelphia. During an appearance on the Oprah Winfrey Show in 2005, the band donated $1 million to the Angel Network foundation.

Kicking off October 2007 the Bon Jovi Tour boys once again hit the road or should I say Highway. What was meant to be a 2008 greatest hits tour was quickly changed by the rising sucess of their new release Lost Highway. Climbing the charts to #1 in many countries the album struck unprecedented worldwide success.
The Bon Jovi tour was never really planned at all really. Bon Jovi was booked for ten concerts for the opening of New Jersey's Prudential Center which then kicked off a tour of Canada and then tours of Japan, Australasia, the U.S. and Europe in 2008. Bon Jovi also played their first concert in New Zealand in 12 years as part of the tour.
Some of the support acts were , My Chemical Remonce, Big & Rich, Gretchen Wilson, Daughtry and the All American Rejects. During the Canadian leg of the tour Hedley opened for Bon Jovi as well. Lost HIghway was Bon Jovi at their best! For those lucky enough to see them it was an amazing concert packed with hits from the present and past.
Hey God, I Believe, Lie To Me, This Ain't a Love Song and Always in its original version just to name a few along with the current songs made the concert magic. With most concerts running up to 3 hours fans were spioled with approx 26 songs and encores lasting up to seven songs!
The first 22 shows grossed 41.4 million dollars, placing their tour at #11 on the list for top grossing tours of 2007. The band's second North American leg of 38 shows grossed $56.3 million in ticket sales according to pollstar making it the number one concert draw in North America for the first half of 2008. Bon Jovi’s 10-night run to open the new Prudential Center in Newark, NJ was the #1 Grossing event in 2007 and the #6 Grossing event "of all time" in North America. The band's 5-night stand at Toronto's Air Canada Centre set the record for the most number of shows in one tour at that venue, beating the previous record of 4 held by the band, as well as U2, The Spice Girls, and The Police. The third leg of the tour the band played to over 966,000 fans. On the fourth leg of Europe they played to over 1 million concert goers in 22 shows. The combined gross of the tour's first, second and third legs was $129 million, with $16.6 million from the Newark shows and $112.4 million from the remaining shows placing them first on Billboards midyear touring chart.
